Located in the dense jungles of western ghat, Dudhsagar Falls is a four-tiered waterfall. Dudhsagar Falls is also known as the Sea of Milk and is referred to as India’s highest waterfalls with 310 meters in height and 30 meters in width.
It is located on the Mandovi River in the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park which is in the middle of the Western Ghats. Tourists can reach the waterfall by road.
The best time to visit Dudhsagar is right after the monsoon. The milky white-water flows with surge giving the milky look to the waterfall. It is recommended to get to the waterfall early in the morning so that you have the full day to enjoy the amazing sight and have fun in the water.
This is a good activity for tourists seeking adventure in Goa. One can choose to hike all the way upt to the waterfall or there are 20-minute jeep rides available that will take you through the flowing water & a mini forest. The views are mesmerizing, and the water is clean & clear, also one can see colorful fishes with naked eyes.
The entry gate to the sanctuary opens at 6:00 am and remains open till 5:00 pm.
